THE ARTISTIC RACE.

We are artist.
For centuries we have changed and manipulated the thoughts of mankind.
It was an artist that painted the 16th chapel.
It was an artist that said,"The times are changing".
It was an artist that asked the world to "Give peace a chance".
There was even a political artist that said,"We shall over come".
We artist are the other race that soaks in the pain and suffering of the world,
And we speak.
We speak loud. We create rallies. We will rock you,and yes you will listen.
We are artist,and yet we are just like the rest,we aren't perfect.
We have our little conflicts and confrontations.
But unlike the rest we resolve our problems with a song,a poem, or a painting.
We express our fears and confusion on stage,before the camera,or on paper.
The words rape,pillage,and plunder,just aren't in our dictionary.
The artistic race is full of different ethnicity,races,and religions.
We artist are on a mission,and have no time for trivial yada,yada,yada.
Understand that we are a majority of minorities,and we are one.
We are artist........

Great points and a nice dedication.
I think the word artist pluralized would have been better grammar and sounded better but it is indeed your artistic license.

You reminded me here that art and artistic means different things to different people.One man's meat is another man's poison, as they say.
I think the bottom line is that Art in all it's forms is about expressing yourself.
