Duke Morley came upon Stephanus faint
with drunken sickness laying prone on side.
Man groaned, his retching, shaking body taint
of alcoholic relish, eyes full wide.
This vile condition stole all knight of pride
and smote Duke Morley mightily with hate
for Arab race, who shamed king's Christian tide.
But knight's health claimed first place, revenge must wait.
Best way for drunken knight was healing sleep's sedate.
