Desolation drifts away from the rest
Looking in the sky there’s no light tonight
The path is lost and it all seems to lead
To the same place
Farther from where I once stood.
Feeling like the young boy again
Who once chased the breaking waves
Back and forth till god knows when.
There’s no longer need for roads and rhythm
My home is a mental prison
The lotus helps me soar
But doesn’t grow anymore.
Everything goes away
From where I stand
But I’ll be here for forever
Like a tree
bones rooted to the knee
Waiting for the fruit
To bloom I’ll need you
As I’ve always needed you
To feel free

Beautiful and melancholic..... everything goes away from where I stand but I'll be here forever.
Painfully begrudgingly accepting the inevitable. |
