Things they all say

Things they all say

Everyone tells me I'm beautiful
But beauty is a curse
It doesn't always help you
In fact it makes it worse
It kills your self esteem when you wind up all alone
Guess you weren't beautiful enough
So easily disowned

Everyone says I'm so talented
My voice can give them chills
But we all know I can't make it
Just like most others never will

They all say I'm dramatic
I let things get to my head
It must be quite important
If it fills me with such dread
They don't even know the half of all the hell that's In my mind
Or that hiding away crying takes up half my time

They will never understand how I can always feel this way
I am too talented and beautiful and young for this dismay
Well now you know my secret
None of that is really true
And while I can't say this to them at least I let it out to you

Creativity has its cost child.

A man, I don't remember who, once said that those who understand love will never know it.

Hemingway said that there are no intelligent happy people.

Beauty is a flawed thing, the only perfect rose is plastic if you will.

If you haven't yet, read the Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. I think you will like it.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
