A Thousand Golden Gears

Think of me
As a time of day
Where the shadows have disappeared
Where there is no darkness
Think of me
As the sound
The sound of rain
Buzzing and tapping late at night
Think of me
As a silent mountain
That time is slowly carving rivers into
Think of me
As a silence broken
Into millions of fragments
Floating through space
From a single question
Think of me
As you knew me
As what I've always hoped for
But could never obtain
Think of me
As I think of you
A pocket-watch, intricate and delicate
A thousand golden gears
Ticking, swinging in a city street
From the pocket of a blind man's vest
