A Revolution

It started with this,
And ended with that,
A glorious revolution,
An unresolved evolution.
It began with hope,
And ended in blood,
Divided by spite,
And shattered by hate.
Every blood spilled is of your own,
Where is the love?
For your fellow brother?
Your sister?
Your mother?
Where is the love?
We were once bound by a belief,
A common cause;
That started it all,
To rid this corruption,
That crippled us all,
United as one,
We were strong,
Divided in pairs spurred lies,
Lies in which they conspired.
To disguise a coup
To a revolution.
Was it a revolution?
Or a coup?
You decide.
