Breathe

Such a wreck
Such a mess
Can barely breathe
Just looking
No words escape

Feeling trapped
A vacuum stealing my courage
Left wishing
Imagining what I would say
but suddenly the world stopped

I took a breath
I said to myself
"Breathe, you are strong"
"Breathe in and take a hold of the fear"
"Breathe out to push it away"

Just like that,
I am composed and ollected
No more fear
Replaced not with courage
but with life

In perfect harmony
The symphony of me
Became an orchestra
With the sound
I marched into battle
