And so it is, I am awake
And as I stir the sun has swiftly turned
blackness and revolved it around again,
thus in light my eyes do open
and under this morning sun the silence is broken.
By that coo coo coo that rests on the mantelpiece,
violently monotonous in its twit a woo absurdity
and as assured in its volume to awake some great beast.
The day begins has began with the cry:
that reversed lullaby
that beckons with a lurch the coming day.
Yes, it has begun: the floral flatline curtains
and rigorous businessmen with their dangerous assertions,
come as quickly as a beat of the eyelashes.
