What Is The Straight And Narrow?...

08:07:2013....

What is the straight and narrow?
Could it perhaps be an arrow?
No I don't think so!
So how are we to know?
They say it's the righteous path.
One must follow it to avoid the wrath.
So explain to me why.
I feel like a Gaul and fear the sky.
All through life we try to do right.
And our reward is an up hill fight.
One treats people with love and respect.
Just later to regret.
Your kind and generous ways.
How people repays this leaves you in a daze.
Yet those how strive to do what's expected.
Their feelings are left infected.
With emotions like anger and doubt.
Why on earth do we take this route?
You thought you had all the angles covered.
Realizing you're the only one here that suffered.
You promise yourself never again.
But that's just your heart disagreeing with your brain.
But we'll stay the same.
And never what's ours reclaim.

My thinking on the strait and narrow is probably what was going in someones mind at the time.
Just living your life one day at a time is good.
As long as you know your heart and mind are in the right place then you'll get where you need to go with out any problem.
Great writing, friend.
You have a heart of gold so not to worry.
Huggs, blessings,
emy

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
