My prayer

I've known fear, hunger and pain,
and my life will never be the same.
Still sometimes i think i am lame,
once i wonder what is the gain.

God fill me with your love,
give me that gentle nudge.
For i am like a dove,
and sometimes i begrudge.

Dear god, let me hear your silent whisper,
that cannot be silenced.
dear god let me be your soulwhisperer,
to ensure the story of life is balanced.

Dear god let me be free,
releasing those old connections.
For i love thee,
and i love to free me from the trials and tribulations.

Dear god thank you,
for never giving up on us.
until we thank thou,
coming trough despite all the fuss.

You are the reason,
we came into existence.
and even though we often committed treason,
your love was of a unwavering persistence.

Whether we know it or not,
we all thank our live to god.
And one day we will all nod:
and say yes you are my creator!
