If I promised you a rainbow

Contributed by shelby on Tuesday, 25th June 2013 @ 12:00:57 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I read your words, so sullen and sad.
Beginning to realize these feelings,
these days are allover our land.
An invisable blanket of sadness and pain
but we cannot give up, a rainbow always shows after the rain.

Broken heart and grief,I know these feeling's well.
Losing and loving, deaths hidden veil.
Down on our knee's a heart fractured and sad
wishing for the peace, health, love and joy
we all remember at one time we had.

I cannot promise a rainbow, but I would if I could.
Would you run with me to it, searching for magical gold.
We could all dance in a meadow with the wildflowers blowing in warm breeze
and tears would subside, fears would melt away, cease.

Dance in the rain, and it would be a cleansing release
broken and mended, light and new our hearts would sing.
The rainbow will be there after the rain,
the storms will flow on the wings of the wind.
Nomore sadness, our smiles will be bright.
Everything and everyone, peaceful and right.

If I promised you a rainbow,
would you take hands and run with me
to the place of golden valleys
where our souls would be free.

Hugs N Love to all of you and I mean that from my heart!

~Michelle~
