Wise-Man & Dreams

Contributed by waynster on Saturday, 22nd June 2013 @ 10:05:12 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

A wise man once said
we’re awake while we sleep
This is why we lose
inner dreams that we want to keep

When our body sleeps
it’s when our spirit is wide awake
When our body is awake
a sleeping spirit drains our energy, it does take

When you look around
it seems like there is so many walking dead
It’s because each one has a soul that’s sleeping
and stealing the dreams running through their head

The wise man fought
a battle of sleepless nights
Dealing with a tiresome soul
that finally gave up in its fights

Total wisdom was found
when the wise man beat his soul in the final fight
Learning the difference between body and soul
and being able to get his spirit to sleep at night

Find peace between your body and soul
so you too can get back your energy and dreams
Getting your spirit and body to sleep at night
so your spirit steals no energy or has wild schemes

Once you win this battle
you will understand what the wise man once said
Once again enjoying your life
and not walking around like your dead

There's a lot here, a lot of truth and it is so very wise.
It's kind of like Buddhism, as though when you strain to find something it's likely to be far out of reach. You want to let it in but you struggle. Like when you wake from a dream and you want to go back to sleep right away and climb back in, but most times it escapes you, then you're sad because you feel you lost something incredibly special --- and you have no idea where it came from, or why.
It's like sharing traits, which in reality can't be done, or at least not precisely. Like an individual soul can't be shared, or at least not without a lot of trepidation or opening up.
Sometimes people open up, like around the campfire,
or just after a loved one has passed.
It's magical, and kind of scary.
Wise indeed. I really loved reading this one. I remember when I was a kid, I had a group of friends, we'd stay up late and talk after smoking some weed - I know that sounds artificial, but there was something more to it. We shared hopes and dreams and bonded. You know, like sometimes when you are bored out of your head and something sparks your passion all of the sudden, all of the sudden it drives you to create and you lose all sense of time.
Thanks so much!
Peace!
