Pandora, sent down by the council of nine. Zeus did Prometheus in, tide him to humanity, chained him to a rock, for trying to help humans. The box, something it held, inside a fire would burn out of control, it was just too much to behold for the human race. And you must be Epimetheus, brother of Prometheus (ain't we all in some shape or form), the after thinker, or actual thinker in hindsight, as though it was to happen in the future, like a fore thinking one/ apropos only in a dream could it be.
We misspell the rueful past as a lot (the human race), as though it's there in some special labeled box to behold. And then it's opened and misunderstood again and again.
Plato's other half described the three types of people, male and female, and before that there were both half's that were separated by some odd fate passed down by the Gods.
Myths or trying to explain reality, religion, all that jazz, No, we aren't robots, life ain't linear, symmetry that we seek is nowhere to be found. Beauty exist but we can't humanly describe it. So this, as myth does now and has done before, over and under throughout all of the ages, attempts to define everything, or all. Religion, Gods, or just this one, heaven versus hell.
The only thing we know collectively to be absolutely real is pain, and maybe vanity.
Great writing Alice --- as always, you never fail to enlighten new insights.
Peace!
