Steady Fall

Thunder outside my window
Sunshine at my door
A love tries to break in
After it broke out once before
Flames encroach my garden
My white picket fence burned
The stone paved road
Led to my security
Littered with ash
Black soot claims the patterns
Clouds eager to consume
Angels that dwell in the cocoon
Heavenly body
Waits for the time
To pounce on opportunity
Where the luck ran out
Preparations for dinner
A thaw is in progress
Frozen hearts
Beaten minds
Climb from the abyss
Enter a stream of consciousness
Take what is given
Not a penny more
Thoughts withhold secrets of the soul
Speak until your words are no more
Silence claims
Your given name
Steals back your small part of the world

Fantastic. Some great lines in this. Hard to pick a favourite, but wonderfully thought-provoking. I have to read this again. Well done!
