Going medieval
Legends come, legends go
My pen is mighty as any sword
I wheeled it with dexterity and flair
Parrying meaning, reason and rhyme
Swashing the thesaurus of language
Clearing a path for all to read verse
That poetry is supreme right now
Thrusting a shaking spear through the air
Shielding you from negativity arrows
Protecting you with positive armour
Entering the gladiatorial arena, the laureate of Liverpool
Who will cheer with comment and praise?
Who among the world is ready to show support?
For this warrior toils for your entertainment
Gives sweat and creative flow
What reward, but gratitude for gifts I bestow
For I am banjosandwitch, poet

wax as with the supreme mentioning, as to wain, every which way the thesaurus can and does lean, or maybe bend, given good time. Oh banjosandwich, words, mayhem, to breed, engender, promote... this is what's inside,as the poet sat down once upon a time to simply write --- words, meanings, stories aglow...
I have chosen to comment and praise thee.
Your gift is gratitude to write. In the shadows where the negativity is left behind. In the sun light is where we all might hide. But why?
Thanks --- good writing. I do believe you did good this time.
But be careful, next time it could be off with your head --- euphemism always spoken by the Queen of Hearts... kidding of course is a tableau for histories reality. Oh but poetry is real says the blue bird that does sing on its own.
Peace!
