Whispers in a Crowd

Grief

I didn't want to leave you,
But I knew I couldn't stay,
The nurses were emotional,
There was nothing they could say,
In the crowd I heard a whisper,
I can't believe he's gone,
He's only fifty-two I thought,
And all because of VietNam,
The tears just kept on flowing,
As sister tried climbing in your bed,
Again I heard a whisper,
I can't believe he's dead,
I know there's no more suffering,
I know there's no more pain,
So I'll hold your memories dear to heart,
Until we meet again.

Thank you for your kind words. I am sorry to hear about your parents. There is nothing more difficult in life than to have neither parent to lean on. Stay Strong, Alicia |
