The Battle is Over

Contributed by xHeathenx on Thursday, 6th June 2013 @ 11:23:34 PM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

Your hair softly covers your eye
You Look down and silently cry
But the battle is over
There's no need for your pain

You have served well
In the time that you were needed
But the battle is over
You should feel how you are treated

Your eyes not need gaze
Into space and abyss
Because the battle is over
It's time to go home

Your pain was feeling like
It would never come to end
But the battle is over
You can put away your gun

The time for peace has come
And your whole world will change
Because the battle is over
Go home brothers and sisters

Relax and rest your eyes
Calm your weary souls
Because the battle is now over
And your life has just begun

It is hard to move on from the past even when we forgive. Though I believe somewhat differently this is beautiful
