Why Are You Staring At Me?

I sit and watch you,
from across the room.
There I sit staring at you.
Sometimes you stare back.
This makes me worry,
and makes me wonder.
Why are you staring at me?
Is it because you feel the same way,
that I feel about you?
Or are you just staring back,
because i’m staring at you.
Sometimes you try to make me laugh,
or atleast make me smile.
Is this because you like to see me smile,
and maybe even like me?
As I stare at you.
My heart begins to melt.
My heart is melting for you.
Does yours melt for me?
My eyes are frozen on you,
and I can't stop staring at you.
I watch you whisper to your friend.
Then your friend looks at me.
I begin to wonder,
what was said about me.
I know you said something about me.
Could you make it anymore obvious?
If you didn't say anything about me,
then your friend wouldn't have looked at me.
Once again I begin to stare.
You just sit there,
staring back at me.
You have a smile on your face.
Is this a smile that should be erased?
Or is that smile on your face,
because of the smile on my face?
I'm staring at you.
Your staring at me.
I still really wish I knew.
Why are you staring at me?

This is how it is with my best friend and I. I stare at him, hoping that there could possibly be something deeper between us and then... he stares back and it makes me wonder. Does he really think of me like I think of him?
This poem really touched home base with me... it said a lot that I have never been able to capture in words. Very nicely done.

Nicely expressed, I can relate to this one ! So many questions cross our minds when we love someone and we don't know if the love sent will be the love received.....Hmmmm.......Thanks for the poem,
