Mania, pure mania

Where are they where am i
They are on a hot balloon ride
catapaulting through the sky
multi-coloured shadows
cast around them
as light belly dives into tarpaulin
a spinning kaliedoscope
carrying them to swooning heights
look beneath, look around
the landscape a lomo perfect blur
motion picture soundtrack drama
with a rave like frenzy of energy
adrenaline coursing through in sweet sweet symphony
higher and higher
lower and higher
undulations like the heart's trepidation
as chills sprinting by
like a pack of famished, feral wolves
jostling them in a stampede of excitement
Look up
at the precariously billowing flame
something looks like it's about to blow!
Look down
how many heart plummeting levels
from the divine to the doldrums?
Crane your neck further out
this ship is on a precipice!
On one side - pastel pretty meadows
with rounded, child-proof hills and gentle slopes
on the other - vertical black and white mountains where vultures lurk
staggering heights and angry peaks.
Look right, look left,
Oh wicked, whiplash winds!
Don't hurt me with your punishing strokes!
Icy cold sweat on a burning forehead
the precise moment a fever breaks
shocks your body like a lashing on warm skin.
Don't knock me off the valley of infinite possibilities,
down the jagged cliff of terrifying disappointment!

Its Interesting, easy to read and it kept my attention. I like it in a weird sort of way. |
