The Seeker’s Song

Parched thoughts mirage in hope
Destinations reworked
Barefoot on illicit emotions
Pacing nights, stalking rainbows
The ink haunts every written word
Molten anguish in whirlpools
Looking for wisdom’s silver mane
Deserted by the jade green eyes of duty
The drumbeats of intuitive sunsets
Fades religions from the angels’ wings
The word limps on in chains and shackles
Leather-bound, gold-printed on captive minds…
