A relative lies sick and dying, soon i will lay stricken crying.
I know whats coming, i cant prepare.
Shes far away, another state her memory to me,
Is ten years unfaded.
A beautiful old woman.
Another mother to my youth, so many, so few in her league.
She joins the others, My father, Brother, Friends,
Cousins, Uncles, Aunties and my Grandmothers.
Gods blessings go with you on your journey.
Soon well gather as one, more than hundred in all again,
Once more in the sun.
I love this large, indigenous family of mine.
But its been a family without a funeral, for too long a time.
