You're leaving, but before you go, theres a few things i think you should know...
If while you're gone you miss me,
I'd like it if you'd see,
All the things you were to me,
All the times you filled me with glee,
Shared in my dreams,
Spread sunbeams,
In my sky of gray
Lifted me up to the clouds way high
with a simple, kind word of "my starbaby, fly"
Encouragement, enlightenment, refuge, and peace,
Inspiration flooding continues to reach
The inner depths of my heart and soul.
Everything good that you are,
Is all that I know,
All I behold,
My stronghold through all these years,
When you miss me, don't allow tears
Just know that you helped me to conquer my fears,
You let me in, shushed the jeers,
Allowed me to feel safe and warm,
Think of me and see the person I will be,
Is all because of your influence on me.
