Love is Simple

Contributed by Jyssvw22 on Tuesday, 14th May 2013 @ 07:05:40 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

When hope is gone
and all that's left are dreams of what once was
All that can be done
Is accept what is and try to move on
The days waits for no one
These night are terrified of the raging sun
Pitch black
The stars flicker in unison
The young
Grow old
A coward turns bold
decides he is too good for this pain
He will take it no more

When living with a broken heart
Each opportunity offers a new start
What holds us back
Can hopefully drive us forward
What was once attached
Must become severed
For with comfort comes an eventual dislodgment
Of peace and tranquility that once held together a union of two lives
An involvement
of separate times
Where one said "I love you"
and the other replied
"never-mind"

Close the chapter
But dare not slam the book
For when one story is over
Curiosity takes an another look
A reevaluation of what transpired and where they stood
Some where higher
Some lower
Together they just never could
See eye to eye
Watch them cry
One last kiss signals goodbye
Then an burst of anger
Had him shook
A thirst for more
Had her sure
She had done
and seen
and is now leaving
with exactly what she came for
His heart in her hand
No longer a man
A child with simple questions
Like "why" and "how"
to which she provides simple answers
He will never understand

Somewhat cliche but entertaining nonetheless. Lots of spelling and grammatical errors, however.

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Very interesting read. Needs more proofreading. It's unfortunate because without the mistakes it has a vey nice flow.

This is really outstanding...So full of reflective thoughts that demands a second, and third, read. This explosive piece of poetry has flipped me on my ear. It's not merely a poem, it's a journey of self-discovery and philosophical thought.

Another great ending, I might add.
