My brains a victim of my heart’s beating
It’s the only way that I can reason
Being blinded by all this red I’m seeing
It must be time for soul hunting season
My survival instincts go crazy
My pulse quickens its erratic pace
The howling wind blows ever strangely
But the blood falling from my face
Makes my thoughts kind of hazy
I'll never see the end of this chase
As many demons now plague me

I really like this poem I especially like and can relate to the ending. I like the fact that this poem is short and at the same time both simple and clever rhyming short words. I think its beautifully strung together. You've got talent. |
