The Last Laugh

Contributed by Jyssvw on Thursday, 9th May 2013 @ 06:46:54 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

You handed me the world then you snatched it away. Without a second thought you turned the sun into rain. The warmth into cold. My young face has gotten old. You took what was my joy and made it pain. Selfishly, you craved what you could never regain.

You sacrificed me to the wolves and now they eat my flesh. You tossed me to the side and now a clear path awaits. Without hesitation you made your bed,and now you lay, without me by your side, alone as you came. Awake with no one to blame. Yourself and your actions. Years wasted. What a shame. You did it for us, or do you claim.

You taught me how to laugh, now I know what it means to cry. You showed me how to enjoy life, now I can see what it feels like to die. You made me see the beauty in the world then covered my eyes. You opened my heart and showed me how to love. Never give in, always try. For years I have given my everything to you. Now hate covers it up. Now my blood has run dry.

You brought me to new heights. Pleasure of the immortal type. You showed kindness and compassion and now only cruelty resides. You made me confident in myself. Believe in our lives. Now shattered dreams lay in pieces and you don't offer to help clean up the past. Building a future to last . All you do is ignore the temptation, that for one second, you gave up too damn fast. Your loss. My loss. Nobody cares.

You came into my life. An uninvited surprise. You shared with me your soul and in turn I gave you mine. You pursued me until I caved. Now you pushed me over the line. Far away from you now. I know you can never again be mine. And in time, I hope you regret. I pray that the next one makes you as sick as I feel, as unhappy as I am, as miserable as you made me. Yes,I wish you only the worst, never the best , for that is what you have done for me. Left me hurt, alone, with no way to sleep. Karma, the ultimate test. Put forth the energy and when it revisits you, will feel its last laugh.

There is such beauty and longing in the pain. The loneliness from a love lost can be unbearable at times. If the person knows they caused you such hurt and did it anyway, then karma will indeed pay them a visit. If you or this other person pushed away in fear, then maybe the time just wasn't right.
