Tears By Sorrow

Contributed by dvtpdw on Tuesday, 7th May 2013 @ 09:11:16 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Salt water created by the pain
Tears fall down in a violent rain
So much in life to tear us down
Smiles so easily become a frown

Heartache comes in a simple form
Disaster dissolves us in a quick storm
Each tears the soul limb from limb
The mind knows not where to begin

Evil carries many strange disguises
Hard to tell if and where truth merges
You'd think we'd have learned by now
To make our life good, true; yet somehow

We trudge heavily in each gray mudslide
Think we will decide the end of this ride
The joke is yet upon us still no matter what
We've no control or clue; we're just schmucks

Open your eyes to the depth of your soul
Let your heart dig deep; pay the toll
Human is the melding of heart and mind
We are all one; all made of God's mankind

It's true we may have different prospects
Of what our God and beliefs represents
Still the one truth continues to remain
Love, hope and joy are our life's refrain

Love, hope and joy are our life's refrain. Lovely. Really well crafted. I enjoyed it. I like the way you identified the darkness and then presented the solution.

Dave
