You used to tell me it meant: 'Forever'
You would let me say it: Never
Even if it meant not seeing each other's faces
Coz distance kept us in very different places
Keeping in touch at first seemed easy
Unfortunately it lead back to some memories
Of hopes and dreams that never came true
Which just kept me feeling blue
I'm sorry it has to come down to this
I usually keep my promises
But somehow time has made me see
There's no future of you and me
Time to end the story and close the book
It's for the best and not as bad as it looks
Let it go and leave the past behind
I just wrote this to say
My First and Last Good-Bye...

Aww this poem made me tear up a bit
cause i was also in a long distance relationship that didnt last.
Its hard to let go but its a bittersweet feeling
realizing that it just isnt meant to be.
I have a couple of this poems like this if
your interested in reading.
