The Host

Contributed by The_Phantom on Wednesday, 24th April 2013 @ 02:36:24 AM in AEST
Topic: surreal

Upon this ground two titans stand, hateful rage with sword in hand,
A battle of blood is what has been called, two men enter one will fall,
Swords of poetic words, light -vs. - dark, which heart will remain pure,
Clouds grow dark as rain begins to fall, lightning strikes as the names are called,

Kane," The Prince of Darkness, and Phantom, “The Follower of the Righteous,"
Enter in, two gladiators, a glorious death awaits,
Which will fall, will these men leave their mark on history at all,
Through their words, the impact of truth have caused quite the stir,

One soul split in two, a battle for the host will ensue,
Each entity has their own plans, with Matthew in the middle trying to understand,
Pulled in two different directions, unable to co-exist, the answer is this,
A fight to the death, Phantom -vs. - Kane as Matthew awaits the soul he will process,

One part lost forever, two entities willing to do whatever,
Will Phantom prevail, or will Kane find the Gods in his favor,
The two rush head long to battle, the clash of swords and thunderous laughter,
The Earth shattering sounds of steel upon steel, the world wonders which will be killed.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

Personal battles are the worst. There's often a traitor in one's head too. A poem of contrast, this.
May you do well in battle. Blessings, SF

I actually did read this before, Matthew. For some reason I did not comment. Sorry bout that. I either got sidetracked or it was because I had some mental issues at the time...more like worry about upcoming surgery for prostate removal. In other words lots on my mind. But enough about me.

Again, another excellent write about the battle within. Lots of great visual. Two thumbs up if I was Sisko and Ebert!!!

Keepa writin'.
