Power of Suggestion

Contributed by Breezy on Tuesday, 23rd April 2013 @ 09:52:19 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

 photo bronzeautumn.jpg

Quarter of never is still never
though it feels, somedays, too short
The goal line stretches to meet the hope
and another year dies incomplete

When did the days turn to hours? hours to minutes?
time does not care, nor does he wait
for any elusive allegiance to eventuate resolution

as moral imperative dissolves into pretext
and miles of seasons cast their glow
life grows cold
(mine as it should be, and wasn't …)

there is no reason; no rhyme
promise continues to dance with time
each tick and tock a waltz of denial

yet even now, faith rises
it cries and laughs and tangos with circumstance,
vividly rendering even the most apathetic
to mawkishly curry favour

and in the loneliness of that dark light
solicitous measurement bubbles over,
frothing and seething with anticipation …

I don't know why but that very first line brought to mind Jayne on Firefly saying I got a share in this job. Ten percent of nothing is—let me do the math here. Nothing into nothin'. Carry the nothin'... ;)

Sorry, my mind is chaotic often and wanders...damn ADHD! o.O

---

Anywho, time seems to pass faster with each passing year and this so reminded me of that and letting experiences and people pass by.

Welcome photo welcome.gif BACK Ms. Breezy! Have soooo missed this.

Yayness be ours!

Timmy

Oh, my dearest....

I *understand* this. I SO get this, in my very bones. As time passes, leaving dreams behind in the rearview mirror, we are left with the choice to be melancholy or hopeful. You've played to both here. My heart both aches and breathes when reading this. It, like you, is amazing.

Luff, me.♥

Hi Breezy,

Insight, Reason, Beauty, Articulation - it's all

*Giggles at that first line* It is just SO very Scorpio...

All jokes aside, this left me feeling heady and breathless. Every line, every word, explodes with fervor of emotion. I just don't get it? I thought you said you were having difficulties writing? Please show me where. I am amazed and blown away by your work, yet again. Roxie, if you only write one piece every few months, so be it. From what I see it is a blessing if this is what you consistently produce!!

Damn girl. You keep reading this next time you want to kick yourself down.
