I am Inside your Head

Thought ramble through the day
Tired and weary
By my words misled
Relaxed
Secure and confident
Lay down your head
Drifting off in sleep
Arrive the dreams
Slumbers demon’s
Come the tortured screams
Smiling lips
Silver tongue
I am inside your head
Running wild
Fiercely consumptive
Blood red
A virus infecting your brain and heart
No earthly antidote exists
I am debilitating
Degenerative
Ever so malignant
Terminal
My eviction
Is not an option
Your mind and body ever more
My sustenance
Abode and bed
I am inside your head
