Oh Death

Oh Death swiftly take me
And grant me rest and peace.
Oh world forever leave me be
So that fear and doubt may cease.

Why linger any longer ?
Why tarry any more?
There is only mental hunger
Which can't be quenched for sure.

There are more questions than answers
So much knowledge unrevealed.
My head aches as if tiny dancers
Prance on in my mind concealed.

Sweet rest in the form of a grave
It beckons as if to call me home.
Don't cry, my life no one can save
My spirit shall never roam.

Back to dust I shall go
My consciousness set free.
May my tomb be covered in snow
As though a new slate left for me.

So Death, swiftly take me!
Grant me rest and peace.
World forever leave me be!
So fear and doubt may cease.
