Five months of sobriety,
My new definition of eternity,
I think I may have lost my only friend,
And now I’ve drunk myself into obscurity.
My whole world has gone numb,
And I think I'm at the breaking point,
If I screw up one more time,
I'll be getting screwed inside some county joint.
And by joint I mean a cell,
All the bars - they pass me by,
Whether in prison or on the street,
This is the hell I've made - why even try?
