Torn Desires

Clouds draw in

Faith fades out

Pain has resurfaced

As the lies die down

Everything is a mystical illusion

Nothing existing is real

Love conquers nothing I fear

Hazy daydreams and unrated dreams

Dangerous fears, forbidden needs

These are the culprits of my haunted being

My eyes close

My soul opens

To the danger of desire

My heart leads

I follow

Being torn between true love and unforgiving lust

I have these desires

But does she reciprocate them?

One taste barely satisfies

Her eyes begged another time, another place

But will she follow through?

Will I be left my disgrace of a want?

My love stands before me

With arms wide open

And a tear in her eye

Why the thoughts in my head?

Why the desire in my heart?

This I cannot answer

I am losing to my own morale

Hands tied behind me

Being forced off a plank

Into a deep ocean of exile

My lips quiver at your name

Heart races, knees shake

A once, yet not again, moment

Forever and repeat in the cinema of my mind

Hope never falters

Never raises the white flag

Cannot not throw in a bloody towel

Once more may satisfy the yearning

I doubt it but it cannot hurt to try

Can it?

Will it kill me even more slowly?

Forget this life

Live as mine

Do as mine

Take what I need

My love

Runaway with me

Steal me from this horror

But will running and hiding work?

Is that my escape?
