Stealing sky

The moonlight closes over the mouth of the river Rhine
Where light once met with lapping waters
Now the sudden get of darkness trims away
The once clad face of silver and brine
That in dim advection
Drew a quiet bridge of stars
To cross into the shimmering summer day
To steal its own reflection
