Found.

found upside down with my lost face on,
backwards in a corner that goes on and on
whip quick.
slick.
sick.
six feet thick
with a ten pound brain and a soul so sick.

found inside out with a withered heart
bastard son of the past and it's evil parts.
whip-quick.
slick.
sick.
ten foot tall,
a dream so big, a life so small.

found unmade in an undone grave,
tombstone throne for the king of slaves
whip-quick.
slick.
sick.
wicked grin...
sin wrapped in skin,
twice as fast once again.

found unfed, unwashed, undead.
a wanderer, sauntering. blood blood red.
whip-quick.
slick.
sick.
one half plan plus
one mean curse equals
one less man.

i really liked the flow of this. The certainty of the circumstances tasted like resignation. Also, the last three lines were quite good.

I don't know why but this gave me the picture of a Soldier contemplating his death on the battlefield as the line between life and death becomes so sharp and raw so does his recognition of the reality of who he is and the life he has lived. Powerful writing gritty and raw.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
