the darkness in the darkness.

the darkness in the darkness.

it's just a bad idea and no matter the day
it's a nice shot of me, grinning blank at those who pray
it's all random happenstance and gravity and days of gray
it's a tune without the moon and it's a path that's lost it's way

it's a whisper gone unheard and a scream that dreams of life
it's a wonder, wandering, sauntering by dressed in sparkly bright
it's a darkness in the darkness that makes blackness look like white
it's a beautiful catastrophy, a poisonous delight

it's a miracle that died at birth in wide-eyed disbelief
it's a nightmare in the daylight and it's sharpening it's teeth
it's a crime within a smile like a murderer's relief
it's a horrible rejoicing and it's feeding on good grief

it's a hallucinating illusion that never magic tricked
it's a reason for diseased unease, it's eternal and it's sick
it's a choice that seems so obvious but it's sneaky and it's quick
it's a chance that needs a second glance like Tock depends on Tick

It's a brilliantly true hymn here that you wrote!
The lost toast to the magical bounty of life in our midst
that we do so miss the most.
Beauty and the prevailing darkness or the soot of a powdery
legacy - or the moral decay, held at bay by imaginary gravity.
This is a beautiful poem. All, any time withstanding, you me, them, all. To think or conjure regard for actual thought. Is morality an opinion? Can swarms of people say. Or is there a higher kingdom, heaven
Thank you!
Peace!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
