Sometimes a picture or a song can bring the memory, the smell, the sound and the exact feeling, that you think you’ve lost, but it has been there all along, buried somewhere deep inside your heart.
That is because good memories together with the most painful ones are not that easy to erase. They are not written with a chock, and they don’t just get washed away by another storm. If they are important they have been tattooed onto your skin and they are there to stay. From that moment on you will never look the same and no matter how much you try to hide it, others will see it. And if you’re lucky people who love you will be there to help you heal the scars and decorate them with new memories that will be imprinted next to them. Accept the painting, face the truth, and make it beautiful, believe that leaving it blank will never do.
