Anxiety of a broken heart

The depth of a very deep well
empty and hollow like a broken heart
Like a puzzle with so many pieces
not knowing where to start
Some people endure pain
from thoughtless acts of someone they care about
It causes a swirling inner emotion
that makes them want to scream and shout
Imaginations run wild
dreams become vivid and clear
That person you cared so much for
had no clue you were so sincere
That deep empty well inside you
that took place where your heart used to be
Drilled so very deep
filling it with love again is something you cannot see
Running in circles
avoiding the people that are close to you
All you see is walls you built
it’s what you felt you had to do
You know everyone cares
but you just don’t let them in
The love of your life
committed and unforgiving sin
Eventually your pain will subside
allowing you to feel again
Slowly you can see
the walls you built are getting thin
Again your heart will be strong
not hollow and deep like a well
When you fall in love again
keep yourself from their unforgiving spell

"....Imaginations run wild
Dreams become vivid and clear...." This are my favorite lines.
What a beauty you have penned here. I loved the way it started on a sad note and ended with a promise of hope in spite of all.
I have a friend I wish she will read this piece.
Thanks for sharing. |
