I lived where you cant go out at night
I had to force what I wanted, I had to fight
My mom would tell me to come inside
She didnt know It hurt on the inside
I dont wanna put another through the same
My fun ended when the moon came
I want my future to have a different story
I want them to be the happiest children in history
In the moonlights love I want them to drown
I want them to play till the night
even when the sun goes down

I can hear a child's voice in this with all the wonderful hope and naievity combined with the adult looking back in sorrow and wanting something much better for others. The typical child's response to hide all difficult feeling from their parents to protect them and through all that this has communicated I am left with a smile from words expressed from the heart. |
