A single tear welled up in God’s third eye
And fell into the cradle of his palm-
Thus forming cosmic sea, geocentric,
Which lapped away at archipelago shores-
A macrocosmic expression of his dream.
When God awakened from his reverie,
He looked down at the world in his bare hand
And saw a multitude of pilgrim souls
Had gravitated there to gather dust-
Build mortal altars where they conjured Time.
Time laughed and measured their futility,
He was devoid of life and without blood,
So God cleaved heavy heart and fashioned Death,
To be a bridge to set the spirit free
To dance away into the universe.
