Powerful waves
Crash against the shore,
And all is exposed to Nature’s forces.
Some landmarks stay the same for many
Years until the erosion changes
The landscape for ever.
Pebbles are jostled, some dragged out to
Disappear to form new horizons,
Others stay creating familiarity and
Recognisable safe terrain.
The Ocean continues to bind two distant
Shores together unless off shore mist and
Inevitable blinding fog
Establish a permanent cessation of
Visibility, of viability.
The wind begins a different direction
Bringing with it a change
Of tide, squally breezes, and
The feeling of approaching upheaval.
Storms batter! Sometime announced
Sometimes bringing devastation!
The anxiety of an unfamiliar picture!
But not only has the bigger picture
Shifted, so with the weathering
the jostling and continual movement, in
Comes the final acceptance that nothing
stays the same.

Hi Anna,
Nothing stays the same. Not only does this
apply to the forces of Nature, but also to us...
changes in mood, changes in opinion, changes
in fortune, changes in ambition, changes in
conscience, etc ... So we're not unlike those
natural changes that we have no control over.
That's why I love the title ''Acceptance.''
Tommy
