I wish to sleep for eternity...

Contributed by Janna on Thursday, 14th March 2013 @ 08:56:20 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I wish to sleep to for eternity... If I knew the sorrow that awaits when I awaken each morning. Never would I have left our sweet embrace. If I had any sense in my poor judgment I would crawl back on my knees in disgrace. Never can another fill the void you've left. Your love permanently etched in the deepest part of my soul. The emptiness of your absence swallows any happiness. Never again can it be whole. The agony I feel when I imagine you, knowing you will also never be free. Together we live apart, yet trapped in the tragedy of what was never meant to be. I pray, I try, I live an unequivocal lie. What a wreck-less fool was I, to leave the apple of my eye. And I pretend not to know, of the happiest life the devil stole. He tore from us our family's greatest treasure, a life for you and I living in simple pleasure. Why, I ask myself did we allow him to roam free? Destroying our inseparable hearts for eternity! And so I long...I regret and I love what was lost in vain, and I treasure what I bore for you, that will forever between us remain. Your pain you convey through silence. Silence which is louder than screams. I hear them when I close my eyes at night, in the depths of my darkest dreams. Yes, every night I see you and there we are still as one. Sleep is the only comfort we have, the illusion before morning brings the torturous reality undone. I wish to sleep for eternity, where destiny prevails, time instantly travels, love is what we want it to be. The mistakes of yesterday, are but a fools paradise, where forgiveness is the only currency...The love we once neglected, now thrives in the enclosure of my mind. It comes to me in my loneliest hour, when only in you solace and rest do I find. Whilst we are not together in life's dire reality. Sleeping fantasies, suffices the needs of the heedless from the drowning of heartbreaks misery.

A beautifully written piece. In every line I could taste
your sorrow. I imagine that I would feel exactly as you
have portrayed if I ever lost the one I love.
I am truly sorry. I hope that you can find happiness
again. Or if possible, find your way back into your lovers arms.
You have a talented way with your words that flow so evenly together.

Your pain is visible in your writing and you express it all too well. But the pain lets you know you're alive and dreaming is beautiful but it's not real. Whatever doesn't kill you..........
