Time heals nothing
It simply distracts the soul.
Closes up wounds, but the scars remain shown.
Tired, my heart is tired.
No longer sore, it’s filled with numbness.
Wish it could be halved, I am surrounded
By unopened ears.
What are these dramatics!
Look how I have become...
My old self has not returned,
It was easier to succumb.
Stains on my cheeks, they are worse than the scars.
Scars can be hidden, camouflaged.
Tired, my life is tired.
These tears leave marks across my heart.

I know what it's like. To me the key here is that you acknowledge the drama and put it into words. Good self-expression. Blessings, SF |
