A Circle of egos! a gathering of need.
An imposing Madame of Self Effacing
Effusing expressiveness, a lisping limping
Uriah heap of monotony.A grinning manic
Effluence.
A rustling continuum, of slouching reincarnation
Of a Miller’s bawdy Wife of Bath, droning in
Goldfish monotones.Interrupted by Mr false
Humility, an aged Baywatch Buffoon bleating
His inepitude whilst grasping for the heroic
Poetic pedastool the leading matriarchs may
Place him upon, whilst lapping up his saucers of
Flirtatious falsehood.
A delightful interlude of rare talented character,
Enacted in verses of homemade gigglicious
Renditions from an ageing memory still able
To recite and delight.
Words of the masters murdered
Sucked of all meaning,
Destroyed by lips that have never
Felt the words that they lay to rest
In graves of expressionlessness
I want a voice to take my soul to the
Masters and for there to be no choice
In my surrender but instead!
They take the words as old used
Teabags, and with the desert of feeling
And expression, hang them on the line
To dry until god forbid they want to
Try and use them again!!!!
But bravely I have swum through the egos,
Held my patience with the fidgeting,
Survived the clucking matriarchs!
Fought off sleep with the droning.
Narrowly missed sticking pins in my eyes!
But all in all I enjoyed my poetry class!!!!

Haha... you fooled me. At first I thought this was referring to online poetry. I enjoyed the one I took as well a few years back. About to rekindle the experience with ITunesU. Excellent work - I like it and the use of the word "gigglicious". Blessings, SF |

Hi Anna,
Giglicious and pedastool - newspeak of 21st
century poetry?
I often think that far too much dissemination
and psychoanalysing is practised today when
judging content of a poem and mindset of the
poet, rather than simply enjoying motion and
symmetry of verse. The real message in
Poetry is that we, and those before us, are
and were all individuals living in different
times - but the senses have never changed.
Well said Anna, and now just carry on
entertaining us as you normally do.
Tommy
