Despair

Topic: SadPoetry

There is a feeling inside me that says
I can never be the subject of your praise
Even then if you can ever consider yourself in my place
Know that one little smile of yours is all that brings me solace.

I know there are somethings that i can never change
Somethings which you could never expect
But even then if you can ever get yourself to accept
Know that i'm not the one to take revenge against.

I don't know where to run away today
The sheer feeling of you not being with me
Has scattered all hopes that i had one day
Even then i try to live on
Don't know why i have to carry on
For there is really no need to build castles in the air
Futile efforts to convince you that i'll always be there.

You may not like whatever i have done for you
You may despise me for i'm not so well-versed as you
But if ever you can get yourself to think like a child
Taste the sweet pleasure of enjoying everything wild
Know that there is always a place in everyone’s heart
That is ready to forget everything that hurts.

Wow, I really enjoyed this. I'm just going to soak up these words for awhile. Well composed emotion.
