Memories

Contributed by AmazingFailure on Friday, 1st March 2013 @ 04:37:53 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Days go by one by one
Those memories she enjoyed so
Shall go by too
She just does not know that yet
For now it is all she can hold onto
She denies

She felt so special
On top of the world
She told you her secrets and dreams
But then you told her the truth
Breaking her heart
She cries

"The hardest part of this all is losing you"
She whispers
"What did I do?"
You showed her that you moved on
She tries to make you believe she did too
She lies

She knows she can not stop whatever lies ahead
So she will continue living in her fantasy land
Reliving those memories
Trying to feel something
Since you took that away from her too
Inside
She dies

Now she dreams
She can change what happened in the past
Maybe things would have been different
She knows it is impossible
But still
She tries

Nice work! It happens to all of us... some of us more than once. Blessings, SF

I really like the way this was written...the perspective, perhaps. I'm sure most of us have been there.

Thank you for posting and photo 1036153111_gif.gifto YPDC.
