Search it or burn it,
there is no in between with us
I've forgotten your best qualities and lost my own
This symphony of phantoms continues our song
And I wonder what it would be like to relive those times with you
It's sort of drivel
But I've come to except it
I honestly don't believe you breathe while I write this
And if you do, maybe who I knew, no longer exists
The darkness we shared was special and unlike another
Total unknowing strangers
Yet so much like each other
You were air in my lungs
Thought in my mind and life in my art
I miss my friend and this is my Tell-Tale Heart.
