like an unfinished
sentence sharp
thoughts a bit
crooked
in the shadow
of a shadow
lying next
to alone
and a holed
heart heavy
as a hag-stone
on a neck chain.

Very interesting - it takes the reader on a different journey. Is it up or is it down or does it go around? Like this very much. Very nice write. Thank you for sharing, P |

I had to look up hag stone. Unbelievably I had never heard of one. But now I get the analogy. I like the way the words hang. Good work!

moments as conscious and weighty interludes, breeding gestures and rituals to offset superstitious fears - yeah, I'll buy that. Interesting reflections, as I drink my curdled milk and turn the last page of the last novel in a series...
