Grief

Cotton the always forgotten fabric born of hate and ripped from soil by those with predetermined fates people who were sold and told that there life counted for nothing people who were told that they were born among roses yet they were the thorns only meant to be scorned and never to be mourned in death. These monsters occupy our space they invade our homes wearing a humans face but they only bring fourth more bloodshed and another unsolved case. It seems that the world still walks at the same pace from the present to the past it seems that we will mimic the fate of the last.

Now I see poetic lines! The opening lines are packed with emotion, fact, history, human rights.I love the significance and symbolism of the Cotton fabric bringing a sobering message of repeated mistakes. I can connect with your work and feel strongly the emotion behind it. |
