I was alone and without rest. Giving time a life to steal, I held a curse inside my chest; denying me the strength to heal…
Upon the wind a voice did call. My soul did listen, while the curse did fall… It said to me “keep running…”
So I ran with the wind, my heart of fire.. The roads they disappeared…. Time rained down, my feet grew tired, I got lost as I had feared!
The Voice cried out from a source unknown, “Do you still miss your cursed home? If not keep running…”
No strength left only will to run; I chase the Voice on the wind, to a mountain top, blocking the sun. At last my journey’s end…
Looking down, I felt no peace, the Voice then whispered inside me,…….
Keep Running!.......

Hi i really like the running theme in this poem, we are all running and we dnt know why or where we are running too, in this poem you stop long enough to feel your heart pounding and question things, great writing, quite short but accurate. Im late Im late , for a very important date ( event or date of the year, in time) run rabbit run rabbit run run run,- we are all falling down the rabbit hole, its just that some of us have our eyes open long enough to notice,,,anyway , great poem , i enjoyed reading it, thanks. |

This poem gives us (the reader) an opportunity to look into our own lives and think about where we might be running . . . do we have enough time to find ourselves? Life is anything but a guaranteed . . . so look up and and never look back! |
